For the multiplayer shooter Star Wars: Battlefront, pre-orders have started. The game is set to release on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
It is George Lucas’ world we just live in, one might think after the impressions of the last 24 hours. And that is by design. This year is supposed to be all about “Star Wars.” By the end of the year, Episode 7, the first new film, will be released. Yesterday, a trailer caused sweaty hands and goosebumps, today it was mainly about Star Wars: Battlefront, a new multiplayer game being developed by DICE, scheduled to release in mid-November on November 17.
Battlefront will focus on planetary battles, initial images promise almost photorealistic graphics and a strong “It’s like being in a movie” feeling. Gameplay-wise, it will orient itself towards multiplayer battles, players can pull out blasters and fly fighters. Those who feel connected to the Empire can pilot one of the heavy AT-AT walkers. Those are the ones with a steel cable allergy.
The trailer definitely had many on the edge of their seats and elicited “Aaahs” and “Ooohs.” And it was supposedly created using “in-game graphics” with the new engine.

Pre-order customers of the base game Star Wars: Battlefront can play the DLC a week before everyone else. They will start on Jakku on December 1. The DLC is supposed to be closely tied to the next film.
