Leak is probably from second or third hand – but gameplay from Star Wars Battlefront 2
Apparently, footage from the YouTuber “DukeNukem” has already been uploaded online. It contains gameplay material from Star Wars Battlefront 2, which is supposed to be shown tonight.
He probably got it from second hand as well; the YouTuber “Axrora” is cited as the source. It is likely his material that is now causing the uproar and the leak.
YouTubers apparently already had the opportunity to play Star Wars Battlefront II and record material. It was actually supposed to be kept under wraps. That didn’t seem to work out well.
It is to be expected that the footage will be taken down soon. Currently, major sites like Polygon or GameStar are already reporting on it. And after the first videos have been taken down, mirrors are circulating. Trying to pull the leak off the internet now is like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube.
The quality of the video material is not optimal, but it gives a good first impression of the gameplay. Darth Maul with his double lightsaber looks impressive. The heroine Rey can also be seen.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is supposed to take place in different eras of the Star Wars universe. In the single-player campaign, players will be agents of the Empire. Here, players take on the role of “the villains.”
