The MMO Star Trek Online will receive content inspired by the movie reboot.
Star Trek Online has content from everything loosely related to Star Trek, but up until now, nothing from the “movie reboot” of recent years. That seems to be changing now.
As they say, players will have the opportunity to travel to an “alternative reality” known from Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness. A new mission is promised for captains. In-game, this is constructed with “anomalies”, a supernova, and quantum-something.
The whole thing is expected to come with the major update “Agents of Yesterday” set to launch in Summer 2016. In Fall 2016, STO is also expected to be released for the consoles PS4 and Xbox One.
