The “Delta Rising” expansion has been released for the SF MMO Star Trek Online. Retired captains are lured back into the MMO with the prospect of a Delta Flyer.
We have already reported extensively on the “Delta Rising” expansion over the past few weeks. It is all about “Voyager”. Some of the series actors have been engaged, having intensively watched the series and developed stories that recount the tumultuous history of the quadrant based on the TV series.
In addition, all MMO typical features of an expansion are brought along: level cap increases, new ships, new skill trees, new captain specializations , a new highest rank, the full program.
Star Trek Online also lures retired captains back into the world of Star Trek Online with a promo campaign. Those who log in at least 10 days within the next 13 days (until October 28) will receive a Delta Flyer, 66 Lobi crystals, and three keys. If you manage to log in only 6 or 3 times in the 14 days, you will also get something, but less.
Mein MMO thinks: Both the expansion and the base game are free. Frankly speaking, Star Trek Online has a very player-friendly payment model. So if you’re interested in checking out ST:O for free, you could certainly find worse times than right now.
