The fans of the MMORPG Star Trek Online can warm up the warp core because Cryptic Studios and Perfect World have announced the release date of the new expansion “Victory is Life,” which revolves around Deep Space Nine. But there is trouble.
Release date and disappointed players
When does it start? Victory is Life will be released on June 5 for PC. The version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will follow at a later, yet to be announced date.
Off to Deep Space Nine! The new story takes you through the space station Deep Space Nine into the Gamma Quadrant. There you will fight against the Hur’q. Accompanying you are well-known heroes from Star Trek such as Quark (Armin Shimerman), Odo (René Auberjonois), Kira (Nana Visitor), Doctor Bashir (Alexander Siddig) and eight other characters.
New faction – very sparse
Play the Jem’Hadar – at least for a short time. Victory is Life introduces a new playable faction with the Jem’Hadar in the MMORPG. However, it has been shown on the test server that you only play one mission before joining the well-known factions Federation or Klingons. Furthermore, there are hardly any customization options for the characters, no female representatives of the species, and they possess only one ship. Therefore, many fans are currently somewhat disappointed, as can be read on Reddit.
What else does the expansion bring? Victory is Life also introduces an increased maximum level, seven new episodes, a completely new sector-wide battle zone in the Gamma Quadrant and much more that the developers want to announce shortly before release.
