Cloud Imperium Games is launching a ship sale for the space MMO Star Citizen and showcasing new videos about the game.
To celebrate the anniversary of the Kickstarter campaign for Star Citizen, Cloud Imperium started an anniversary ship sale. Every day this week, ships from all four shipbuilding companies in the game will be featured, and you can buy them “at a discount”.
Chris Roberts also explains why the ship sales are so important. He states that no one is forced to buy the ships. With the starter kit, you have everything needed to play Star Citizen. The additional ships are meant to provide fans a way to support the development of the game and receive a reward in return.
During the sale, you can look forward to limited versions of the Javelin and the Idris. So if you are a collector of spaceships from Star Citizen or want to get some of the ships to fly in the MMO, you should check the sale every day. Maybe there will be a spaceship on sale that you’ve always wanted.
New videos showcase impressive scenes
Additionally, the team released new videos of Star Citizen. These showcase the capital ships of the game and provide further insight into the gameplay of Star Marine, which will be introduced with Update 2.6. The videos show how good Star Citizen looks and what we can expect. However, with the insight into the scheduling for the space MMO, it is still unclear when the release will take place.
