The team at Cloud Imperium Games recently released new material from Star Citizen just before Christmas. A video titled “Imagine” looks into the future of the space role-playing game and presents various features. The release of Star Citizen is expected to take place during the next year.
Star Citizen Looks into the Crystal Ball
As one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter, Star Citizen continues to grow. The developers around Chris Roberts showcased the future of Star Citizen in a 3-minute video. Shooter action takes place in spaceships or in space suits for exploration – Star Citizen is not only played with spaceships. At the same time, the video demonstrates how impressive the graphics in the world of Star Citizen will look. We particularly liked the flights of the individual spaceships along with reflections of the sun rays.
New Ships for the Holiday Season
To make effective use of the holiday season, the developers have also released 14 new spaceships, the Arena Commander 1.0 HUD, new ammunition, and additional features. The complete list of new developments can be found on the official homepage. The release of Star Citizen is actually dated for 2015. However, a specific date has not been established. We are curious whether Star Citizen can meet the requirements and compete with the genre leader EVE Online.
