Cloud Imperium Games, the developer studio behind the space online game Star Citizen, has designed a mini basketball game in just one hour.
In space, heroes apparently also need a bit of leisure activity, and basketball seems to be perfectly suited for that. The developers at Cloud Imperium Games have designed some interesting “toys” for the online game Star Citizen in just one hour and showcase what they have created in the video series Happy Hour Gamedev. This includes a basketball game.

Basketball in Star Citizen
This was created by technical designer Calix Renaeu. You can engage in sports in the hangar of the Javelin Destroyer spaceship. However, not right now, because it is not yet integrated into the Alpha of Star Citizen. Whether it will ever be is currently also uncertain. At least you will have to wait quite a while before you can throw some hoops.
The Lumberyard Engine allows for interesting experiments
In a video, the developers show how they developed and implemented this basketball game in just one hour. Additionally, they play a round of basketball to demonstrate that it actually works. This is meant to show, what is possible with the Lumberyard Engine in a very short time.
