Star Citizen 3.0 aims to bring the universe to life
Positive news and feedback are coming from press representatives who had the opportunity to talk with Chris Roberts about version 3.0 at Gamescom. This is the update, writes Polygon, that supposedly makes players feel they belong to a larger whole, part of the galaxy.
In a demo, players could accept another player’s mission, there were player-player contacts, you could see bartenders and shop owners. The world felt alive and the entire universe took shape with 3.0. The version is expected to be released by the end of the year.

Even the US site Gamespot is quite impressed with 3.0 and the attention to detail that Chris Roberts shows in its presentation. He gets hung up on a minor bug; the whiskey glass of a mercenary seems to have clipping issues, and Roberts swears to fix such bugs in a short time. Nothing should disturb the immersion. This pleases the colleagues at Gamespot.

Significantly closer in the future of Star Citizen is Alpha 2.5. This version has already been distributed to the first testers. It features, among other things, a new landing mode.
