In the space MMO Star Citizen 3.0, you will be able to land on planets and moons and explore them on foot or with vehicles. You can see what that looks like in a new video.
With the Around-the-Verse videos, the developers at Cloud Imperium always showcase the progress they are making on Star Citizen.
The new video has a lot to offer. It revolves around the next big step, Patch 3.0. Even though gameplay systems like blackouts and redouts, close combat, holograms, particles and visual effects, new shaders, outposts, sounds, shipwrecks, and much more are very interesting topics, this time the video has something very cool to offer.

Seamless landing on planets
Specifically, the developers show how a crew lands on one of the planets, disembarks, and explores the landscape. All of this happens without loading times. You fly through space to a planet, enter its atmosphere, and can then fly over the procedurally generated landscape until you find a suitable landing spot. There, you disembark from the ship and start scouting the area.
Procedurally generated worlds
The fact that worlds are procedurally generated relieves the developers of the burden of designing every meter themselves. However, the team still takes care of important locations to provide players with unique landscapes there. You can see what the planets look like in the new Around-the-Verse video for Star Citizen 3.0. So there’s a lot to see this time.
