While other MMOs require players to battle through as many dungeons as possible, Palia forces its community to the stove. If they cook quickly and sufficiently, they can harvest autumn rewards.
What is Palia up to? In line with autumn, a “Festival of Harvest, Flavor, and Friendship,” as Palia describes the season on its website, the cozy MMO sends its players to work – or rather, to the stove. The game, regarded as a “Cozy MMO,” wants its players to toil.
With a week-long community event, Palia challenges players to produce at least 25 million jars of jam within a week. Starting from October 21 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (7:00 PM German time), players must cook diligently to achieve the set goal by October 28 at the same time – because then there will be nice rewards.
Rewards that “reflect the spirit of the season” await
Which products count as “jams”? Even though the title of the community event is “Jam-boree” (Jam = jam in English), other items from the game also count towards the goal of 25 million jars. It’s not just about jams; it’s literally about “canned goods” …
Items therefore include:
- Apple Jam
- Blueberry Jam
- Pak Choi Kimchi
- Canned Beans
- Canned Pumpkin
- Napa Cabbage Kimchi
- Pickled Carrots
- Pickled Corn
- Pickled Onions
- Pickled Potatoes
- Pickled Hot Peppers
- Pickled Tomatoes
Palia emphasizes that no player has to worry about how to produce 25 million jars of jam and the like in just one week. This is a task for the entire community, to which every player contributes with their own efforts, no matter how much or how little they produce.
The team behind Palia will provide updates on Discord and Social Media throughout the week when the player community reaches a milestone, to illustrate how close they are to the goal.
What rewards can players expect? Even before they have reached 25 million jars, the community already expects some rewards – once at 5 million, again at 15 million, and finally at the 25 million items produced.

Additionally, the community will have the opportunity to vote on how a new in-game plush toy will look once the final goal is reached. It will be a jam-themed plush toy, for which the community can then vote on its visual flavor.
Even if this community event sounds like an absolute grind fest, Palia is a rather “cozier” MMO compared to other MMOs, which focuses more on gardening, fishing, and building your own house rather than raids, dungeons, and PvP. Even MeinMMO video producer Anna, who usually leans towards competitive titles, gave Palia a chance and was delighted: A competitive player ventures into a cute cozy MMO that captivates her for over 100 hours
