On September 26, 2025, cards from the Spider-Man universe of Marvel will land in your decks of Magic: The Gathering. MeinMMO exclusively presents one of the new spells.
What kind of card is this? The instant spell “Hunter’s Insight” can be played with one green and two colorless mana, granting you the following effect: “Choose a creature you control. Whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player or planeswalker this turn, draw that many cards.”
Here you can see the card with the associated graphic:

The card most likely features Kraven the Hunter, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1964, first introduced in issue 15 of Amazing Spider-Man. Just last year, the troubled hunter received his own film, which unfortunately flopped at the box office: If anyone thought superhero movies had hit rock bottom with Madame Web, they have overrated Kraven the Hunter
How can the card be used? This spell is interesting for two reasons:
- As an instant, you can cast the spell at any time, using it exactly when the opposing player or their planeswalker is taking significant damage. For every point of damage dealt, you get to draw a card.
- “Hunter’s Insight” is a green spell, and thus belongs to the color that has access to many strong creatures. For any beast deck, this spell is a great choice to ensure card draw.

What do I need to know about the upcoming crossover with Marvel? The new cards from the Spider-Man universe will be available in your decks of Magic: The Gathering starting September 26, 2025. With well-known heroes and villains, iconic covers from the long comic history, and the first of the Infinity Stones. You can find more details on magic.wizards.com.
However, there are no plans to release a digital version – Magic: The Gathering Arena – this time around.
Spider-Man thus follows the extremely successful crossover with Final Fantasy, surpassing previous collaborations with franchises like The Lord of the Rings, Dungeons & Dragons, or Assassin’s Creed, achieving the most successful launch of a new set: Magic: The Gathering is made to empty fans’ wallets – In combination with Final Fantasy, this worked better than ever before
