A new shooter on Steam aims to revolutionize the genre with its innovative approach, and the release is just a few days away.
Which shooter is it? Spectre Divide (PC). This is a tactical shooter developed by Mountaintop Studios in collaboration with Twitch streamer and former professional player shroud.
The gameplay of Spectre Divide is strongly reminiscent of games like Valorant and Counter-Strike, but with only 3 players per team and a special twist: Each player has a second body.

Release of Spectre Divide in just a few days
What do we know about the release? Spectre Divide has announced that the shooter will be released on September 3, 2024. The servers are expected to go online at 6:00 PM German time.
Spectre Divide will be released on Steam as a F2P title.
What distinguishes the shooter? In Spectre Divide, two teams of 3 players compete against each other – not the usual 5v5. One team defends, and the other team attacks. The attackers’ goal is to plant a bomb. The defenders’ goal is to prevent the planting or defuse the planted bomb.
Additionally, you earn money with each round played, which you can then use to buy weapons and gadgets. You drop these when you are eliminated. There is no respawn. Unlike in CS2 and Valorant, you use the sight much more in Spectre Divide, and you can move while shooting without losing accuracy.
The big feature of the shooter is the so-called “Spectre,” which is a second body that each player has available in every round. You can quickly switch to this second body at the push of a button during the ongoing round and use it tactically.
Spectre Divide has a unique gameplay feature by utilizing a second body and is considered one of the most exciting shooters of the year due to its innovative approach. However, this is no guarantee that the game will appeal to everyone.
