Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 released Patch 3.0 on September 26, 2024. With the update, the co-op shooter received several new features that fans have been eagerly requesting. One of these features is supposed to give you more privacy.
What is this feature? With Patch 3.0, Space Marine 2 introduced private lobbies for the mission mode (PvE). This means that you can now play missions solo with bots or with a friend without getting a random teammate.
Private PvE lobbies have been a highly requested feature from the community in recent weeks, as you could only play the missions with other players until now. You were automatically thrown into matchmaking at the start of an operation and matched with random players.
A user wrote, for example, on Reddit: “I hate that the game forces me into lobbies with other people.” Many players were also simply asking if it was somehow possible to start private lobbies and desperately searched for the option, which was completely missing until Patch 3.0.

What else did Patch 3.0 bring? With the update from September 26, Space Marine 2 also received a sparring arena where you can have closed PvP matches against your friends.
Additionally, the co-op shooter received the much-requested support for ultrawide monitors and an adjustment of the highest difficulty level in the campaign. The enemies there are now somewhat less aggressive, which is supposed to improve the experience for solo players.
Your AI companions have also been improved so they are now a greater help to you. Previously, the bots were intentionally bad so that they wouldn’t steal the show from the players.

Besides some new features, the update also includes some bug fixes. For example, a bug was fixed that allowed some weapons to regenerate more health than intended.
