Space Marine 2: How to enable crossplay and play cooperatively with friends

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 offers fans not only a campaign but also the opportunity to join the co-op with different classes and complete operations. How you can meet up with friends from other platforms through crossplay is explained here.

How do I enable crossplay? You do not need to manually enable crossplay. Space Marine 2 activates crossplay on its own. However, if you want to be sure and check the setting, you can access the “Settings” menu from the start screen.

Under “Game,” scroll all the way down until you reach “Network.” Here, “Crossplay” should be set to “On.” If you do not want to play with crossplay, you can simply disable the setting.

Warning: If you have disabled crossplay, you can only be matched with players from your own platform. So if you are on PS5, you will only encounter PS5 players with the setting disabled. Steam and Xbox players will then be excluded.

How do I play in co-op? To play in co-op, you first need to complete the tutorial mission. If you are in a hurry, you can also skip it directly. Just open the menu and skip the intro.

Once Titus is assembled and you can move around the ship, you must first speak to Captain Acheron. Follow the way markers to participate in the briefing.

After the short conversation, you can now edit your squad on the upper right side of your screen. You now have three options for how you can join your friends or invite them:

• You join your friends on the same platform through the menu
• You generate an invitation code and give it to your friends
• You enter your friends’ invitation code to join them

You can generate or enter an invitation code by clicking on the key icon in “Edit Squad.” A code will be displayed to you, which you can give to your friends. Or you can enter your friends’ code under your displayed code.
