Actually, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 should not be a true “service game”, but fans are certainly receiving good service. Even in year 2 post-release, there are many new contents, including some positive surprises.
What can fans look forward to in the future? Although the third-person shooter is not supposed to be a “service game” – a misunderstanding for which the developers have even apologized to the fans of Space Marine 2 – the game has consistently been supplied with new content in the first year after release.
Now, developers Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have presented the roadmap for the second year of the game in a new trailer. And once again, it’s all about content, content, and more content.

New Monsters, Weapons, and a Playable Boss
What content is still to come? It should kick off on September 4th with Patch 10, and quite spectacularly. There will be:
- A new siege map with 4 new PvE operations
- The new PvP game mode “Helbrute Onslaught”, which includes a playable Helbrute
- 3 new PvP arenas
- Gameplay modifiers
- and much more
With the Chaos Spawn and the Mutalith Vortex Beast, 2 new monsters will appear, which need to be eliminated with one of the 3 new weapons in the name of the Emperor: The Pyreblaster, the Pyrecannon, and the Power Axe.
With Patch 12, a new class will be introduced in the first quarter of 2026: the Techmarine. He comes with his Omnissiah Axe. This is a special weapon awarded to Tech-Priests and Techmarines who have proven their faith in the Machine God on the battlefield.
