The actor Terry Crews can also shine as an Orc. For the Horde, he collects Azerite in a rather absurd WoW Pen&Paper session.
Most people know Terry Crews from many news related to Overwatch, as he wanted to be the voice of Doomfist. Now he seems to have turned to another Blizzard game and is doing a bit of marketing for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. In a “Critical Role” video, he conquers Azerite for the Horde on an island expedition – but in a Pen&Paper game.
What is Critical Role? In the online video format Critical Role (or the variation CelebriD&D), voice actor Matt Mercer (voice of McCree in Overwatch) takes other voice actors on a Pen&Paper adventure. Since all participants are voice actors or actors who can immerse themselves well into characters and play them, it always has a high entertainment value.
Pen&Paper with PvP: Especially cool about this episode is that there are two different groups of players competing against each other – a ship crew of the Horde and one from the Alliance. After separate introductions, it leads to the big showdown at the end, where both groups face off against each other. This is not only exciting but also incredibly funny.
Those who are proficient in English and have a few hours to spare should watch the entire episode of CelebriD&D. Not only is Terry Crews’ performance as the Orc blacksmith fantastic, but Troy Baker (the voice of Gul’dan) is also convincing and fully embodies his role as a permanently drunken Alliance priest.
Anyone who has no desire for Pen&Paper, island expeditions, or role-playing in World of Warcraft after the video probably cannot be helped.
