The God MOBA SMITE takes on RPG. Travel together in Loki’s dungeon to free the Greek god Hercules. But beware! Dangerous fire giants and sea monsters will stand in your way.
In the action MOBA SMITE, everything revolves around the mythological beings and gods of this world. For many, it is an exciting universe with fantastic characters.
Now SMITE brings back the RPG aspect: SMITE’s new RPG mode introduces you to a dungeon crawler, where you will face colossal bosses in coop.
In the summer, SMITE offered “The Trials of Hercules” as an RPG mode. The dungeon crawler was well received by players – this concept is now being continued.
The Shadows Over Hercopolis: Take on Loki & Save Hercules
Loki is the most versatile of all gods, who loves to play pranks and pull off shady business. In Hercopolis, Loki has been up to no good. The treasury has been plundered, the blacksmith has been robbed – and the worst part: The statue of King Hercules has disappeared without a trace!
Your task is to save Hercules and return the stolen goods to the residents of Hercopolis. If you manage to find all the pieces of the statue, you will receive a reward.
On your journey, you will team up with other players and traverse familiar locations of norse mythology.
SMITE’s New RPG Adventure Works Like a Dungeon Crawler
The shadows over Hercopolis lead you into Loki’s dungeon. Here, puzzles and colossal monsters await you that you must overcome.
This is how the gameplay works:
- Assemble a team and choose one from over 70 gods that SMITE has to offer
- Travel through the Norse realms to advance into Loki’s lair
- You must defeat the legendary monsters of Norse mythology. For this, you will receive loot that will help you later to defeat Loki and free Hercules.
- There will be 3 boss fights in total:
- On board a sinking ship, you will fight against a flesh-eating sea monster
- In the realm of fire, you will take down the father of all fire giants
- Once you have defeated these opponents, you can take on the final boss Loki to free Hercules
- The mode will be available from Patch 4.21 to Patch 4.24

The RPG adventure “Shadows Over Hercopolis” is available for free on PC starting today (November 6). On PS4 and Xbox One, you can enter Loki’s dungeon starting Friday, November 10.
