With the Season 4 update, there will be a new premium skin in Smite that some players may not take very seriously. Such Cold Skadi is the name of the skin, where your companion Kaldr is replaced by the famous Doge dog. How these changes look in-game can be seen in the skin preview video for Skadi – Such Cold:

The Doge dog is an internet phenomenon that became popular in 2013. This meme shows a Shiba Inu dog combined with English words like “such x” “very x” “so x” and “wow”. Wow usually stands alone.
This meme is the basis for the new skin for Skadi. These typical words can be seen during the animation of the abilities. Additionally, the dog also speaks to Skadi in this style.
The reactions to this skin on social media are mixed and range from “I love memes” to “Who let this go through?”. A YouTube user comments under the preview video that he finds the idea of having the Doge as a companion good, but hates the voices of the two characters. The skin might have been more accepted by the players when the meme was still more relevant. Another user even states: “Someone should be fired for this.”
