SMITE is a free-to-play MOBA that is unusually played from a third-person perspective and feels very similar to MMOs. ‘Battleground of the Gods’, as the subtitle suggests, reflects the mythological setting that SMITE draws upon. On the battlefield, you face gods like Zeus, Thor, Aphrodite, or Thanatos, who can be controlled by other players or the computer, depending on the mode. SMITE relies on a fair free-to-play model that is positively rated by players and the press. Additionally, new gods and even entire pantheons are regularly added.
