The legendary Pokémon Latias will have its special raid weekend in Pokémon GO. You can challenge the monster starting this Saturday and might encounter a Shiny.

What we know about the event with Shiny Latias
How long does the event last? The raid weekend starts this Friday, February 22, at 10 PM and ends on Monday, February 25, at 10 PM.
For us German players, this event starts only on Saturday, as there are no raids available at 10 PM on Friday.
What does the event bring? This event runs similarly to the raid weekend with Lugia and Ho-Oh. During the event, you will have a chance to encounter Latias in raids. Meanwhile, Palkia can still hatch from the black raid eggs.
This is also the first time you have a chance to encounter a shiny Latias. The Shiny will be unmistakable, as it is not red, but orange/yellow.
What about Latios? Niantic announces that there will soon also be a raid weekend with Latios. This is the stronger of the two legendary Pokémon from Generation 3.
