In the online game Anthem , the servers are down today on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and the game is offline. The maintenance is expected to last about three and a half hours. Fans are frustrated, as not much should be expected today. The test server for Anthem is shutting down, but the Cataclysm update will not be released this week.
When are the servers of Anthem going down? According to the Twitter account of Anthem, the servers will be offline today, on July 30, for three and a half hours on PC, PS4, and Xbox One:
- The maintenance starts at 1:30 PM German time.
- The maintenance is expected to end at 5 PM.
Update aims to fix crash issues in Anthem
What can players expect today? No major update is planned; rather, EA talks about maintenance work that will take place today.
EA Help tells a player that their technical issues might be resolved with today’s maintenance. So at least some “crash issues” will be addressed.
It is definitely not the patch 1.3 that everyone is waiting for in Anthem. Players had hoped that the big Cataclysm would start now, after it is down from the patch server.

Some players are asking quite irritably when the Cataclysm event will finally start. Anthem has been lacking new content for months – only small balance patches appeared 6 weeks ago. Players are impatient.
There was a pre-event – but it was rather a drop in the bucket.
Especially on Twitter, a lot of frustration is boiling over. One player commented on the announcement that the servers are going down, saying: “Don’t bother bringing them back up.”
Test server for Anthem closes – No date for Cataclysm yet
When will things continue with Anthem? We still don’t know when the Cataclysm will launch on the live servers.
It is only known that nothing will happen this week – even though the test server is closing. The community manager announced this on Twitter.
BioWare follows the policy of only announcing things when they are completely confirmed – so you only find out at the last moment when it will continue.
But it should happen in August.
A large roadmap for new content, which Anthem originally had, was emptied two months ago.
