The YouTuber Dream is one of the biggest content creators in the world of Minecraft, but he is currently embroiled in a serious controversy. An account on Twitter and a voice actor from children’s series have made allegations against him. The 24-year-old Dream says this is not normal internet fun, but it weighs heavily on him, his friends, and family.
What are the allegations?
- On November 20, an anonymous Twitter account posted that YouTuber Dream allegedly sent inappropriate messages to teenagers. This is said to have occurred via Snapchat (via x.com).
- He is also accused of making moaning sounds, which were also spread in the posts.
- The tweet spread rapidly. Consequently, two hashtags trended in North America: “#dreamisagroomer” and “DREAM DID WHAT”. “Groomer” refers to an adult who manipulates children to be willing to engage in sexual activities.

What else is involved? Dream is also currently in the spotlight due to a bizarre dispute with a voice actor from children’s series: Nicolas Cantu (20) voices characters like “Gumball Watterson” in “The Amazing World of Gumball” or Diego Márquez in “Dora and Friends.”
The voice actor also accuses Dream of being pedophilic.
Dream, on the other hand, says that the young man is “a terrible person,” who assaulted him physically and made racist remarks to an Uber driver.

What are others making of it? The allegations against Dream are quite the fodder for some people on YouTube and Twitter. The controversial content creator Destiny, himself usually permanently banned from Twitch for transphobic statements, says: Who hides their face behind a mask so much, can be suspected of anything.
Additionally, Dream also cheated in Minecraft speedruns, so he assumes that Dream is guilty and likely sedated his victims.

This is what the YouTuber himself says: The streamer has now expressed outrage over these allegations in a tweet. He claims to have been physically attacked by a “drunk voice actor” and that thereafter an anonymous burner account raised allegations against him on Twitter.
This isn’t just “the joke of the week,” “Haha, a Minecrafter YouTuber is a pedo” or “Haha, how embarrassing, the guy who did speedruns is being beaten by Gumball” – these are extremely serious allegations that affect the lives of many: the lives of his friends, his family, employees, and it is horrible for all actual victims of abuse.
