The GeForce RTX 4090 is currently the fastest graphics card on the market and very expensive. The community is now joking about a particularly absurd “offer”.
At least 1,800 euros is what you currently have to pay in stores if you want to buy a GeForce RTX 4090. Sometimes you pay more like 2,000 euros. For many people, that is a high amount for a graphics card. After all, you can buy a complete gaming PC for that money.
A special offer for an RTX 4090 is now said to be particularly enticing. Because here you get not just one graphics card, but three of them offered. A user shared this offer on reddit. In the meantime, the post has been removed, but the offer can still be found on the internet.

What do gamers want with 3 high-end graphics cards from Nvidia?
Getting 3 “RTX 4090” graphics cards for the price of 2 cards sounds enticing to many gamers at first. Because it could also be worthwhile for people who like to resell hardware at significantly higher prices. Such scalpers are currently having major problems selling their expensive graphics cards.
In most cases, 3 graphics cards are rarely installed in one’s own home computer and multiple graphics cards at the same time are hardly supported by Nvidia and AMD anymore or are not worth it in many cases.
Others just shake their heads at the offer. Because who would be willing to invest many thousands of euros in several graphics cards?
Why you should be careful: Many clearly point out that this is just a scam. Moreover, the scam, i.e., such fake offers, can hardly become more absurd.

Fake offers and scammers can often be quickly revealed
How can you recognize such “false” offers? With such offers, it is always important to keep your eyes open, because in many cases, it is just a simple attempt at fraud.
And in this specific case, it is not just about a little money, but about several thousand euros that the buyer may not see again in the worst case.
- Often these are so-called bait offers: They try to lure you away from safe platforms so that you definitely won’t see your money again. You then receive strange emails from Amazon.
- The demand for prepayment is also a warning sign for a fraudulent dealer. Because with prepayment, you pay first before the dealer delivers.
- On eBay, Amazon, and others, you can also pay attention to the age of the account. If it is only a few days old and offers expensive branded goods, then you should be careful.
- In some cases, scammers also hijack official accounts or profiles and use good reviews to deceive buyers. In this case, you often receive emails or hints to please contact the dealer via WhatsApp or other means.
- Sales images are sometimes “stolen” from other websites and used for their own offers.
In many cases, it helps if you can use the buyer protection from Amazon or eBay. Here, the money lands in Amazon’s account first before it is paid to the dealer in the next step.
Why is this probably a fraud? The images of the graphics card look unprofessional and moreover, the offer repeatedly refers to a WhatsApp number that we do not want to name at this point. That is always a clear warning signal that the provider wants to lure you away from the platform. The account was also created only in mid-January 2023.
Equally strange: Specifications for the product are not mentioned at all and the device type states “Doorbells”, which means “doorbell” in English. All of the seller’s offers have the same text with the number and PR terms.
Otherwise, one thing mainly helps: use your common sense and do not trust offers that are just too good to be true. Because otherwise, it could really become annoying:
