Alara’shinu
When it comes to particularly cool glaives for demon hunters, most people immediately think of the War Glaives of Azzinoth from the Black Temple. But did you know that there are also other glaives with unique effects? One of them was introduced during the “Dragonflight” expansion.
The glaive named “Alara’shinu” is one of them and a bit hidden. You have to solve a small puzzle to acquire this weapon.
How do you get Alara’shinu? Just follow this little guide:
- Be a demon hunter with at least level 70.
- Visit the Emerald Dream and talk to Landeron Felbane at coordinates 51 / 61.
- Travel to the Broken Shore (Legion) at coordinates 72 / 41 and watch the small sequence that takes place there.
- Now travel to Val’sharah (Legion) to the Temple of Elune at coordinates 51 / 57. A spectral demon hunter walks to one of the small ponds. Wait until a deer makes the glaive appear.
- Interact with the glaive to corrupt it and then pick it up.
- Return to Landeron to tell him about the incident.
Even though there are glaives with a similar design in the Emerald Dream, Alara’shinu has a very special property. When you wear the weapon or use it as transmog, the visual effect of your ability “Fel Rush” changes. You leave a trail of beautiful flowers on the ground, which should remind your demon hunter a little more of their Night Elf heritage – if they are indeed a Kaldorei.
A small bonus note: “Alara’shinu” is an expression used in WoW primarily by druids. It means “Finding beauty in imperfection” and signifies that you can discover beauty even in the chaos of life with all its flaws. Perfection is not always necessary.
