Who has been cast in One Piece? Xolo Maridueña will play the role of Ace in Season 3 of One Piece. He is the brother of protagonist Luffy, who sees him again after many years in Alabasta.
In a new post on Instagram, an actor reads a script in which it states that there would be a big explosion and Ace would step out of the flames. Shortly thereafter, Luffy’s actor Iñaki calls and is excited that his bro would finally appear on set.
Maridueña also wonders, quite confused, whether Ace would ever wear a shirt. Little spoiler on the side: He is really only seen with a top in flashbacks, so Maridueña will probably be seen often without a shirt.
Actor previously played a superhero
Where do we know the actor from? The American actor has appeared in several films and series, including Cobra Kai and Blue Beetle, the superhero film from the DC Universe. In this, Maridueña even plays the lead role. So he is well acquainted with special powers.
Maridueña has also had contact with animes. He voiced Heisuke Mashimo in Sakamoto Days in the English version.
