Its upcoming content “Cursed Sails” and “Forsaken Shores” is being introduced by Sea of Thieves with a mix of humor and skeletons. When will the two DLCs be released and what do they contain?
For the pirate adventure Sea of Thieves, there will be more new content in the coming months. This content has now been presented with a trailer. It shows that things are going to get quite dark. Ancient villains are finding their way into the game.
So far, we could only see a teaser in the trailer of what to expect from the new content.
Content from Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores
When does the Cursed Sails DLC come out? The Cursed Sails DLC for Sea of Thieves will be released in July 2018.
What is included in Cursed Sails? This expansion introduces terrifying skeleton ships, which will be detailed with a limited-time campaign. Additionally, a new threat approaches players – presumably the depicted ancient skeleton. Furthermore, a new ship type, the Brigantine, will be unlocked. The ship accommodates up to three players.
When does the Forsaken Shores DLC come out? Forsaken Shores will be released for Sea of Thieves in September 2018.
What is included in Forsaken Shores? This expansion reveals a new part of the world that tests the nerves of the toughest crews. The volcanic landscape is supposed to provide a special adventure with many dangers. Additionally, rowboats will be unlocked in Sea of Thieves!
Finally, the rowboats are coming!
The developers explain that Sea of Thieves still wants to evolve significantly. The two announced DLCs Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores will ensure that.
Players are particularly excited about the rowboats. These small means of transportation were desired since the launch of Sea of Thieves. They appeared in our list of 15 improvements that would benefit Sea of Thieves, back in March.
The mood among Sea of Thieves fans is positive following the announcement of the DLCs. Players are looking forward to the new content and more variety in the pirate adventure.
Since launch, Sea of Thieves has attracted 4 million players who have played for a total of over 91.4 million hours.
