What are pirates? Grog-drinking eye-patch wearers who search for treasures, sail into the sunset on the seas, and engage in fierce sea battles with other ships and their crews? Yes, exactly! Forget all the bad things you hear about pirates. In Sea of Thieves, you simply have fun as a privateer.
Living as a Pirate
With a new, fun gameplay trailer, the developers at Rare show you how enjoyable it can be to be a pirate.
You will see what the privateers do all day long. This includes battles on islands while trying to secure the treasure found in the cave. Or a nice drinking party with music on the beach. Or you get shot out of a cannon onto the enemy ship, fight undead, or drink grog until you throw up.
The Pirate Life Can Be So Fun
And if you happen to pass away in a sea battle or during boarding, you wander as a ghost until you find a way back to the living. And if you discover a treasure, such as a banana, in a sunken ship underwater, make sure to watch how your friends are amusingly chased and eaten by sharks. Yes, the life of a pirate is beautiful.
