The pirate online game Sea of Thieves is receiving positive feedback at gamescom.
At the fair, some new information about the promising game was revealed. Gamer Arekkz was already enthusiastic about the game at E3. During gamescom, he was able to record two videos. The first shows some basics of the game and how to jam with friends, what you can do on a ship, and it leads to an encounter with another ship – which of course ends in a battle. The video demonstrates well how smoothly everything plays and how “immersive” it all appears – without distracting UI elements.
Boarding Time – Harrrr!
In the second video, Arekkz finally shows how he boards and takes over an enemy ship with his crew. These videos demonstrate very well how polished Sea of Thieves already is. Of course, one shouldn’t expect a complex MMORPG with quests or the ability to build your own in-game economy. The fun is the priority here, and you can see that with Arekkz.
If you want to play Sea of Thieves and also want to board ships, you will have to be patient a little longer. A beta is set to take place later this year before the online game is released in February 2017 for Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One.
