How ridiculously good Sea of Thieves looks is demonstrated by the developers with a new eight-minute gameplay video.
Release Date February for Sea of Thieves “utopian”
It was actually planned for the pirate online game Sea of Thieves to be released this month for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. However, so far there has only been a technical alpha for the Xbox version. As Rare has now announced, an alpha for PC will also be released soon.
Therefore, it does not look good for a release in February. The developers have also said themselves that this date is utopian and the online game will be released sometime this year.
Searching for Treasure
However, to get you in the mood for the pirate adventures, a new eight-minute gameplay video has been released. In this, a crew consisting of four developers sets out during the technical alpha to dig up a treasure on an island.
It is very clear to see how the crew has to work together to get the ship moving and steer it to the designated island. There, the crew also finds the treasure and spontaneously decides to give it to another crew made up of participants in the alpha.
A treasure given away? Never!
But that goes horribly wrong. For the other crew opens fire on the developers and a fierce sea battle ensues, during which the developers still want to give the treasure to the other crew. What is misunderstood as an attempt to board is actually only meant to deposit the treasure chest on the ship.
Rare plans to release more such gameplay videos. A release date for Sea of Thieves has not yet been set. It is also not known when the alpha for PC will begin, but the developers indicate that they are “on the way”.
