Sea of Thieves offers a dense atmosphere. The developers focus on immersing players into the online game – and storms are part of seafaring.
In the upcoming online game Sea of Thieves, you will be traveling a lot with ships to journey from island to island and engage in action-packed naval battles with other players. However, those who spend a lot of time at sea will inevitably encounter a storm.

Storms are dangerous
In a new video, the developers explain more about the storms and how they affect the game. You can recognize on the horizon when a storm is brewing. This should look dangerous so that the crew can decide early whether to sail through the storm or seek shelter.
Sailing in a storm is not easy
The wind will affect the rain and the waves. Depending on how strong the storm is, it will be difficult for the helmsman of a ship to fight against it. Because ships behave differently in a storm.
Maintaining course will not be easy. Even the water on deck will be simulated. It accumulates and will drip down through the planks. There, the water can also accumulate, which can be dangerous. Even players who are below deck should not feel safe during a storm at sea.
Sea of Thieves will be released next year for Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One.
