MeinMMO has already reported on the new game mode Swarm of League of Legends. But did you know that a variant with the same name and for the same genre is set to be released for TemTem in the third quarter of 2024?
What is planned for TemTem? TemTem: Swarm is set to release on Steam in the third quarter of 2024 and will transfer the strategy-based combat mechanics of TemTem into a kind of Vampire Survivors with an optional co-op mode.
Up to three friends will face the swarms of the Tems and dangerous bosses. You will gain experience points, level up, and gradually become stronger. And if one of the co-op players dies, they can support the others from ghost mode.

And what is League of Legends: Swarm again? Well, this is a new PvE game mode for the popular MOBA from Riot Games, scheduled for release on July 17, 2024. Here you fight with up to four friends against hordes of monsters and … you guessed it … dangerous bosses.
Yep, here too, Steam hits like Vampire Survivors or Brotato are role models. Only that the challenges are located in the Runeterra universe and the champions and visual design are inspired by the Anima Squad skin series.

How are the developers of TemTem reacting? On their official channel on X, the developers posted a message saying “We are fine, we are fine, we are doing totally fine …” You just have to repeat it often enough to believe it.
In the accompanying video, they also comment that they are now among the people in the world who have just announced a survivor game that has the same name as the freshly announced survivor game from one of the biggest companies in the gaming industry that can rely on millions of fans.
Last but not least, the devs point out the possibility to add TemTem: Swarm to your wishlist on Steam.
What was TemTem again? That was an MMO in the style of Pokémon that caused quite a stir in 2022, but has not been provided with new content since the beginning of 2024. Accordingly, the user reviews have dropped. While the overall rating is still “Very Positive”, the reviews from the past month are only “Mixed”.
