New information about the Safari Zone events in Pokémon GO is available. Shiny Magikarp and Pikachu are waiting for you. Rare Pokémon like Chansey, Larvitar, Kangaskhan, and Unown can also be caught by players who do not have an event ticket.
After weeks of limited information regarding the Safari events in Pokémon GO, the developers are now providing us with new details. It is now clear that not only participants who have purchased tickets for the events can catch the rare Pokémon.
Even trainers outside the event areas can find the rare monsters if they are at least in the same city.

Safari Events in Europe, Even Without a Ticket
In a few days, the Safari event at CentrO in Oberhausen will start. On September 16, these events will take place in Germany, France, and Spain. The fact that there are only 4000 tickets for the event in Germany worried many trainers. However, it is now clear: Rare Pokémon like Kangaskhan, Chansey, Larvitar, or Unown can also be caught without tickets.
Soon you will be able to reserve free tickets for the Pokémon GO Safari events. These are non-transferable. To receive a QR code that is mandatory for attending an event, the person making the reservation must be over 13 years old and must carry a valid photo ID.
Trainers who cannot secure tickets for the events in the shopping centers will have the opportunity to discover and catch the rare monsters of the Safari Zone event in the respective cities of the events. Good news for trainers hunting for rare Pokémon who have little interest in the other bonuses of the event.
Safari Zone Bonuses – What to Expect?
You will receive an in-game medal and special 2km eggs from the various PokéStops in the shopping centers at each Safari Zone event.
Additionally, throughout the event, lure modules will be active all day at the shopping center stops, allowing you to catch Pokémon such as Kangaskhan, Chansey, Larvitar, and many more together.
Trainers in the area can even encounter Shiny Pikachu, Shiny Magikarp, and various forms of Unown!
There will be no gym and raid battles in the shopping centers during the events. Niantic wants “all trainers to have as much fun as possible there.”
In team lounges, you can meet and interact with other trainers from the same team during the events. Your participation in the activities will be rewarded with trainer kits, which Niantic has not yet explained in detail.
