In the role-playing game Nice Day for Fishing on Steam, you must develop from a fisherman to the hero of a small town as the catch starts to fight back. Now the developers are releasing a new free update that makes the fishy enemies even nastier.
What kind of game is this? With Nice Day for Fishing from FusionPlay, it’s a 2D pixel-style role-playing game where you, as a simple fisherman, must save your hometown when things start going wrong. Equipped with a fishing rod, you must face nasty enemies in fishing battles, arm yourself with the right bait, and execute perfect attacks with the right timing to become the hero.
The game receives a very positive rating on Steam (88% of user reviews are positive) and is praised by players especially for its humor. Behind the game is a group of YouTubers who maintain a similar tone in their video projects that is worthy of a fisherman’s fight against nasty fish.
Now the role-playing game is receiving a new free update that brings not only worse enemies into play.

The nasty fish will get even nastier
What does the new update include? The developers of Nice Day for Fishing are giving their players with the second update of the game additional content that brings seasonal events to the town of Honeywood, but also new challenges.
After the developers made life in the game easier with fast travel portals after the first update, they now want to introduce something more dangerous – in the form of new elite enemies.
These elite enemies are not only stronger but also require a bit more finesse and strategy to defeat.
In addition to the new enemies, the update also includes a new workshop in the center of Honeywood, as well as sails made from scales that can give the boats better base and sprint speed, but also delay and braking power.
What else can players expect? The developers report in a press release available to MeinMMO that with the update, a secret boss may appear who is one of the most powerful enemies in the entire game – if you can find him.
This boss is quite well hidden and can only be found by fishermen who pay close attention.
Nevertheless, one should take on the search, because those who defeat this boss can expect a proper reward befitting a professional fisherman.
Nice Day for Fishing from Fishing is available on Steam, for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch, and promises a completely different kind of fishing everyday life.
