In Pokémon GO there will be a takeover by Team GO Rocket this Sunday, November 24. We will tell you what we already know about this event.
When does it start exactly? The event times are chosen similarly to a Community Day. This event will take place next Sunday between 11 AM and 2 PM.
During this period, Team GO Rocket will infest every PokéStop and will want to challenge you.
Everything you need to know about the Rocket event
This event is ideal for: Since Rocket Grunts will be standing at every PokéStop, you can quickly collect the mysterious components and assemble a Rocket Radar.
This way, you can easily meet and challenge the Rocket bosses. With them, you’ll have a chance to encounter shiny Shadow Pokémon.
What else will there be? Niantic promises that there will be new field research projects. So you will probably have to complete quests related to the Grunts. The rewards for this are still unknown.
In addition, you can solve the Special Research “A Long Shadow” faster thanks to the numerous Grunts. In the end, you can meet the Rocket boss Giovanni there.
Is the event worth it? Those who are on the hunt for shiny Shadow Pokémon will be able to enjoy it here. You won’t have to walk long distances between the Grunts to assemble the Rocket Radar.
However, those who don’t care much for the Grunts and bosses might not have much fun here. It remains to be seen what rewards the new field researches will bring and whether the event should be taken advantage of because of that.
