In Ring of Elysium, you play Battle Royale in a freezing environment. In line with the Steam release, there is also a trailer.
The Battle Royale shooter Ring of Elysium is considered by many players as a free alternative to PUBG. The gameplay looks realistic. There are no garish colors that distract from the fact that you are fighting for survival.
What is it about? In Ring of Elysium, you play tourists who are trapped in a ski resort. The problem is that the cold wears you down and you must survive to catch the rescue helicopter. And the other tourists have the same goal.
Reminds of winter sports: There are opportunities to speed down the map and steep cliffs with snowboards and snowmobiles. You can also use zip lines and hang gliders for movement.
How many players are in a RoE match? 100. You compete along with 99 other players for one of the four spots in the helicopter.
What makes Ring of Elysium different from Fortnite or PUBG? A system allows players to automatically build weapon upgrades on their guns. You move across the map using hang gliders, snowboards, cars, boats, and snowmobiles. You can already get an impression of this in the trailer.

Update from September 19: What’s new? Ring of Elysium is now available on Steam. Unfortunately, not yet for players in Europe. However, Tencent confirmed that they are working on an EU version, which will be released “soon.” There is no specific date yet. Several languages are expected to be supported.
The game was already playable on other platforms before. Testers see the potential to dethrone PUBG from the Steam throne.
