Rift is getting a new update called 4.1 and presents you a new raid that does not require any trash and group searching. Additionally, there are upgradable weapons like in WoW and a carnival event.
The highlight of every raid in MMORPGs like Rift are the epic boss battles where the group has to give their all to win. However, before you reach the boss, you usually have to fight through hordes of useless trash mobs that are just annoying.
But with update 4.1 and the new raid “Tartarian Depths”, the action starts right away with the boss following another boss. Moreover, the patch also offers upgradable “Eternal Weapons” and a fun carnival.
Rift: The Tartarian Depths – A Frustration-Free Raid
The Tartarian Depths are a new raid that takes you into the namesake pits and abysses of hell. All sorts of beasts have been imprisoned there. The best part: You can directly beat down the big bosses without having to fight through trash mobs for ages. Instead, the first four bosses come one after another and the main final boss Malannon is not far behind.
Access to the Tartarian Depths is only possible via the new raid finder, making it particularly easy and accessible. Simply sign up and specify your role, and with a bit of luck, you’ll have your raid assembled and can take down bosses and collect loot. The latter is particularly interesting for raid newcomers, but certain resources are also intended to attract experienced raid veterans.
Eternal Items – The Artifact Weapons of Rift
With the eternal items, Rift introduces weapons reminiscent of WoW: Items that you do not just throw away, but continuously upgrade and adapt them to your progress.
You can find eternal weapons either as rare loot or receive them through a questline from Lessa Korin at Alittu. After that, it’s all about upgrading the weapon, ideally with special items from the Tartarian Depths.
Colors and Carnival
Also new: The dye system for armors has been upgraded and expanded with 18 new colors. This allows you to dress up perfectly for the Carnival of the Chosen. This event runs until April 20, 2016, and offers new tasks where you can win a strange elephant mount and funny costumes.
If you haven’t gotten the expansion Starfall Prophecy yet, you can now also buy it in the in-game shop with credits or affinity.
