In the film comedy “Back to the Future Part II,” it was the hoverboard, and in the free-to-play MMO Rift, it is the hoverbike that you can now ride across Telara. The new bowlight rider mounts are available as part of an event and are only available for a limited time.
The bowlight rider mounts resemble a flying sci-fi motorcycle. In the eponymous event “Rise of the Bowlight Riders,” you can secure one of these spacey speedsters. You can either earn the bike through a quest chain in the Moonshadow Mountains or, with a bit of luck, find the moped in the bowlight treasure chests. But beware: the event ends on January 22. After all, it is just a “prototype” that is being tested for its suitability:
The Institute for Plane Research is currently testing a new prototype of a high-octane, multi-purpose, reactor-supported, beryllium-inducing, kinetic energy vehicle – better known as the bowlight rider – and is in need of crazy… uh, brave test pilots.
