RIFT celebrates its 5th anniversary with an upgraded event, new souls, and improved technology for more frames.
5 Years of Rift – 5 New Souls
For a few days now, to be precise since April 13, 2016, the new patch 3.6 “Festival of the Chosen” has gone live and made many changes and improvements to RIFT.
The true “centerpiece” of the patch is available in the shop, as the Chosen Soul Pack awaits there, which includes a total of 5 new souls – one for each profession. Warriors get the War Chanter, Clerics the Rune Master, Mages the Frost Keeper, Rogues the Shadowborn, and Primalists the Soul of the Maelstrom.
A day after the patch activation, on April 14, the annual carnival program has also started again. Since Rift is celebrating its 5th birthday, this event has been properly polished and is packed with new raid types, daily quests, artifacts, and of course, plenty of rewards. Interested players have a total of 3 weeks to participate in the celebrations and earn the sought-after rewards through the various activities.
Lastly, RIFT now also officially supports multiple CPU cores. So players with a dual-core or quad-core should notice performance improvements between an incredible 25% and 50%.
