Riders of Icarus starts today, July 6th, into the open EU Beta. But when exactly? And do previous beta participants and Steam users need to pay attention to anything? Read here all the details regarding the start of the Open Beta of RoI in Europe!
Those who – like me – only had “July 6th” in mind as the beta start for Riders of Icarus and desperately searched for the “Download function” on Steam might not find anything at first. Because yes, the Open Beta actually starts today, July 6th. But thanks to time zones, it won’t be available in the morning but later, namely at 5:00 PM Central European Summer Time. You will have to be patient for a while longer until you can tame exotic mounts.
“Whaaat? Only that late!?!?” I can already hear some players complaining. But don’t worry, you can at least use the waiting time wisely and download the client in advance. All you need is an account with the publisher Nexon and the corresponding Nexon Launcher. You can find the program at the link provided on the official Riders of Icarus site. If you were part of a previous beta of Riders of Icarus, just start the Nexon launcher and download the game again.
Steam users, pay attention: Riders of Icarus is also distributed via Valve’s distribution platform Steam. However, the download via Steam will probably only be possible tonight, as stated on the official Riders of Icarus site. Also, keep in mind that all your progress from the previous third phase of the closed beta has been wiped, and a new client is also required. However, the developers promise that there will be no more wipes in the open beta.
