The MMORPG Riders of Icarus has received a date for the Open Beta, and there are now founder packs available for purchase.
The Open Beta of Riders of Icarus starts in July
With Riders of Icarus, a new MMORPG is soon entering the market and trying to attract players. Unlike many other games in this genre, much of the action in Riders of Icarus revolves around aerial battles. For this purpose, numerous creatures can be tamed and used as mounts. Many animals can alternatively be transformed into companions that assist the heroes in battle and provide useful effects, such as slightly increased critical hit chance or enhanced movement speed.
Currently, the game is still in closed beta, but Nexon has announced that Riders of Icarus will switch to open beta on July 7, 2016. In line with this announcement, there is a new gameplay trailer.
No purchase of a founder pack is necessary to participate in the Open Beta – anyone who wants to play can jump in directly on July 7.
Those who still decide to purchase a founder pack (€25, €43, or €90) will receive a week of early access to the Open Beta. Furthermore, there is immediate access to the current closed beta and a lot of in-game goodies – depending on how much money you put in. This includes a large package of healing potions, exclusive titles, and – as is fitting for this game – numerous mounts and pets. There are also some bonuses that temporarily enhance character stats.
