In Riders of Icarus the great PvP battles in the game mode Manastone Battles are not played the way the developers would like. Therefore, there will soon be changes to the alliances system and the Manastone Battles.
The developers of Riders of Icarus had a nice idea: In the game mode “Manastone Battles”, alliances of players are supposed to face each other and seek the decision on the battlefield without matchmaking. For this, there are rewards like a particularly cool buff.
They should fight properly!
Unfortunately, the developers did not take some players into account, because instead of beating each other to a pulp, large mega-alliances dominate the battlefield, playing the victory into each other’s hands, so that everyone in the large alliances gets the buff at some point. Small guilds and alliances as well as the militia faction are left out and get nothing from the cake besides the giant alliances that feed each other.
Moreover, such an approach is not very exciting and borders on an exploit. Therefore, the developers want to intervene now. Since the problem is apparently not easy to solve, the developers have announced a drastic step and will completely disable both alliances and “Alliance War”. Manastone Battles will continue, but only between guilds and the militia. The latter may actively join guilds ranked 3 and above. Additionally, players will be able to borrow PvP gear, which should lead to a more exciting battle.
