In Remnant: From the Ashes, you need to make decisions that influence your world. This includes the Beast Heart, an item required by two different NPCs. Here’s how you obtain the heart and what you receive in return.
What is the Beast Heart? The Beast Heart, or Heart of the Beast in the original English, is an item that you only receive relatively late in the game. The heart is an item that is demanded by two different NPCs. However, since you only receive one heart, you must decide which of the two you will give the item to.
These NPCs want the heart:
- The Undying King, whom you encounter in Rhom
- And the Iskal Queen, a merchant in Corsus
How to Obtain the Heart: When you speak with the Undying King, he asks you to bring him a Guardian’s Heart, the heart of a Guardian. The Iskal Queen, on the other hand, asks you to bring her the Beast Heart. So far, so good, but the catch is that both refer to the exact same item.
You obtain the Beast Heart by defeating Ixillis, whom you find in Corsus in the area The Grotto.

This is what you receive for the heart
Who you give the heart to has different effects. You will receive different items as thanks. Additionally, one of the NPCs will become quite angry if you do not give him the heart and will challenge you to a fight.
The Undying King
If you give him the heart: If you give the Undying King in Rhom the heart, you will receive the Riven scythe from him. The weapon has the ability Life Leech, which heals the wielder for a certain amount of the damage dealt.
Additionally, the king will give you the key to the Labyrinth, a strange place connected with different levels of existence.
If you do not give him the heart: The king will be very angry if you do not give him the heart. He will challenge you to a tough battle. However, the fight will be worth it for you: if you defeat your opponent, you can gain the materials to craft the Ruin rifle. You will also receive the trait Kingslayer and also the key to the Labyrinth.

Iskal Queen
If you give her the heart: If you give the “Fairy Queen” the heart, you will receive the Slayer armor set, which increases your damage after reloading, as well as a crossbow.
If you do not give her the heart: If you do not give the Iskal Queen the heart, you have nothing to fear. You will not have to fight her, and she will continue to trade with you.
