There is now apparently a concrete release date for Diablo 4. A new leak reveals details about the release and the download size.
When is Diablo 4 coming out? Diablo 4 is set to be released on June 5, 2023 – at least according to a new leak from the data miner “Aggiornamenti Lumia”.
Through his Twitter account, the data miner shared both the date and the possible download size of the game, which is said to be 80 GB in the Xbox store.
Additionally, Aggiornamenti Lumia mentions that there will be a Standard Edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition, and an Ultimate Edition.
How likely is the date? Well-known gaming insider Tom Henderson also picked up on the leak and explained that Aggiornamenti Lumia has reliably uncovered data from the Microsoft Store in the past (via Inside Gaming).
Furthermore, his site “Inside Gaming” has independently verified the release window in June but has not yet been able to provide a specific date.
Previously, WindowsCentral talked about a possible release in April 2023, but already in early December clarified that this was only the earliest point of a possible release window that would end in June.
A release of Diablo 4 in June 2023 seems more likely.
When will the official release date for Diablo 4 be announced?
As of now, there is still no official information from the developers regarding the release of Diablo 4. Recently, however, eyes have been directed towards the Game Awards: According to another leak, Diablo 4 is expected to be represented there with an announcement.
This is reportedly intended to include the official release date and the start of pre-orders. Whether this will actually happen should be clear by the latest at the event. The Game Awards will take place on the night of December 8 to 9.
