Regional Pokémon of the 3rd Gen in Pokémon GO are shown in this overview.
With the activation of the new monsters from the Hoenn region, more exclusive monsters have been added to Pokémon GO. These can only be found in certain regions around the world.
Similar to Porenta or Kangama, they inhabit various locations around the world and hopefully will also come to Germany through special events at some point.
These monsters of the 3rd generation are regionally exclusive
So far, four monsters from the Hoenn region have been confirmed as regional by the Pokémon GO community. These are Sengo, Vipitis, Plusle, and Minun.
- Sengo and Plusle can be found in North America, South America, and Africa
- Vipitis and Minun are available in Europe, Asia, and Australasia
- Relicanth can be found in New Zealand and Fiji
- Illumise can be found in North America, South America, and Africa
- Volbeat is available in Europe, Asia, and Australasia
- Tropius can be found by trainers in Africa
- Qurtel is found in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and parts of Oman
The divisions of the regions are still rough at this time and may be refined in the coming days. Currently, the catches of these special Pokémon are being evaluated and compiled by the community.
The new Pokémon from the Hoenn region also include new raid opponents and shinies. These shinies from Gen 3 are now in Pokémon GO
