With the new trailer, we can dive deeper into the story of Red Dead Redemption 2. The developers state:
America, 1899. The end of the Wild West era has come, and lawmen are hunting the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who resist and do not surrender will be killed.
After a failed heist in the town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are on the run. While federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the country are hot on their heels, the gang must fight, steal, and rob their way through the relentless heart of America to survive. As increasing internal conflicts threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must choose between his own ideals and his loyalty to the gang he once grew up with.

- The new installment in the RDR series is a prequel to Red Dead Redemption – thus taking place before Red Dead Redemption.
- One of the main characters will be Arthur Morgan, who belongs to the Van der Linde gang – the gang of Dutch, known from the first part of the series.
- The weapons are likely to include bow and arrow – horses can be caught with the lasso. At least that’s what these details from the second trailer of Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal.
