Finally, Rockstar Games has taken the step and announced a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. It will be released in November.
This was announced: On October 4, Rockstar Games finally announced what everyone had been waiting for. A PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2.
When is the release? According to schedule, the PC version will be released on November 5, 2019. That’s a Tuesday.
Why is this so important? Even before the actual release of RDR 2, players hoped for a timely implementation on PC. Many wanted to play the Western blockbuster not on consoles but on their familiar platform, the PC.
In the months around and after the release of RDR 2, there were repeatedly leaks claiming to know about a PC release. In October 2018, Media Markt provided a leak that generated a lot of hope.
But officially, Rockstar always remained silent about it. Furthermore, fans seized upon entries from Rockstar employees who spoke of a PC version.
Now the cat is finally out of the bag, and PC players can look forward to their version of the Western hit.
It is the first part of the “Red Dead Redemption” series that Rockstar is sending to PC.
Is the online mode also available on PC? Yes. Red Dead Online will also be part of the PC experience of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC
When can you pre-order? According to the blog post on the Rockstar Games website, you can pre-order the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 starting October 9 at 5:00 PM German time.
This is exclusive until October 22 in the Rockstar Games Launcher, which was released a few weeks ago. During this time, you can choose two additional PC games for free, which you will receive with the purchase. You can choose two titles from this list:
- GTA 3
- GTA Vice City
- GTA San Andreas
- Bully – Scholarship Edition
- L.A. Noire – The Complete Edition
- Max Payne 3 – The Complete Edition
Those who pre-order will also receive free extras: Outlaw Survival Kit for the story mode, War Horse for the story mode, Treasure Map for the story mode, Money Bonus for the story mode, and 50 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online.
