The upcoming western shooter Red Dead Redemption 2 comes in different editions and with pre-order bonuses. These are now officially known. However, those who buy the fat Collector’s Edition cannot play the game at all!
Recently, a leak came to light revealing the pre-order bonuses for the western shooter Red Dead Redemption 2. These have now been officially confirmed. There are:
- a special horse
- a survival kit
Those who pre-order a digital version will also receive a treasure map and dollars for the story mode. The map is only available if ordered by July 31, 2018.
In addition, there are the contents of the various editions of Red Dead Redemption along with a very bizarre Collector’s Edition!
An overview of the editions of Red Dead Redemption 2
Besides the standard version for 69.99 euros there are the following special editions of Red Dead Redemption 2:
The Special Edition
This edition costs 84.99 euros. It includes the following complete package for the story mode:
- The game Red Dead Redemption 2
- The bank robbery mission and the gang hideout in story mode: Gain exclusive access to a bank robbery mission where Arthur and some other gang members devise a plan to break into and rob a bank in the southern town of Rhodes. Elsewhere, the Del-Lobos gang has occupied a hacienda. Drive them out of this hideout and loot their supplies for a big haul.
- The mount “Black Spotted English Thoroughbred”
- Talisman & Amulet gameplay bonuses: These special items provide Arthur with advantages in story mode. The eagle claw talisman on his boot sharpens his awareness of the environment for longer. When he carries the leguan scale in his pocket, he takes less damage on horseback.
- Boosts, money bonuses & discounts in-game
- Outfit “Nuevo-Paraiso-Gunslinger”
- Free access to more weapons (Volcanic Pistol, Pump-Action Shotgun, and Lancaster Varmint Rifle)
The Ultimate Edition
This edition costs 99.99 euros. In addition to all the contents of the Special Edition, it also includes the following goodies for the online mode:
- Bonus outfits “Blackrose Bounty Hunter” and “Copperhead Enforcer” (two exclusive outfits for your online character)
- The horse “Black Fox Thoroughbred”
- Access to the free camp style “Survivor”
- Free access to more weapons (Volcanic Pistol, the Pump-Action Shotgun, and the Lancaster Varmint Rifle)
- Rank bonuses (faster progress to rank 25)
The Collector’s Box
This package also costs 99.99 euros. But be careful! This is only a box with physical stuff. None of it is relevant to the game! Not even the game itself is included in the box. You still need to buy that separately. The Collector’s Box is therefore only for die-hard fans and collectors of Red Dead merchandise.
The following goodies are included in the box:
- A large metal storage box with a padlock
- A “Challenge Coin” collector’s coin
- A double-sided puzzle with 100 pieces
- A “Six Shooter Bandana”
