On October 26, 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Rockstar has not commented on this yet. No PC version of Red Dead Redemption has been announced. The topic came up recently when Media Markt offered a PC version of RDR 2 for pre-order.

Xbox One and PS4 download of Red Dead Redemption 2
The vibrant world and the many activities you can engage in require quite a lot of storage on your consoles.
On the support website, Rockstar Games explains:
- PlayStation 4: 99 GB of storage is required for the installation on PS4
- an additional 50 GB must be temporarily utilized during installation
- Xbox One: The installation is said to require 107 GB of storage
So far, Red Dead Redemption 2 at least on Xbox One requires less storage. It only needs 88.1 GB there.
Are there pre-order bonuses?

Do I need to have played the predecessor to understand RDR 2?
No, that’s not necessary. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the prequel to Red Dead Redemption. It is thus the backstory, as it takes place about 12 years before the events of the game from 2010.
Are there no connections? Presumably, there will be a few references here and there. But the story should be understandable for anyone who has had nothing to do with Red Dead Redemption so far.
Is there a German voiceover?
Typical for Rockstar Games, they forego a voiceover in German.
Is everything in English then? No. The voice output is in English. However, there are German subtitles that will be displayed in the game.
What is it about and how long does the story take?
The story of Red Dead Redemption 2 has only been roughly outlined so far. Rockstar Games provides players with an approximate setting. The rest has to be explored on your own.
The setting: You find yourself in America in the year 1899. At this time, the end of the Wild West era is just breaking. You play as Arthur Morgan, who is on the run with his gang, the Van der Linde gang. You are fleeing because a robbery went wrong.
You will be pursued by bounty hunters and federal agents. To survive, you are supposed to rob, steal, and fight.
Finally, internal disputes threaten to tear the gang apart.
Your decision: You now have to decide whether to stay loyal to the gang you grew up with or to pursue your own ideals.
How long does the story take? Red Dead Redemption 2 is said to offer around 65 hours of content.
Is there a Day-1 patch?
Yes, Rockstar has already announced a patch for the first day. It is primarily intended to bring bug fixes and adjustments.
How big is the patch? The download size is about 3.3 GB on PS4 and 3.2 GB on Xbox One.
Does Red Dead Redemption 2 have an online mode?
Is there also a co-op or multiplayer mode in the story? There is no co-op mode for the story. You play the campaign alone. There will be an online mode for Red Dead Redemption 2 called Red Dead Online.
When is the online mode available? This mode will initially be tested as a beta in November. There is no exact date yet.
Does Red Dead Online cost extra money? No. Anyone who owns a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 can join the mode for free.
