Cheaters spawned members of the Ku Klux Klan in Red Dead Online, the multiplayer of Red Dead Redemption 2. They harassed other players. Now Rockstar Games has put an end to this racist cheat.
What did hackers do in RDO? When cheaters wreak havoc in Red Dead Online, it can be amusing. They cause two-headed skeletons to appear, which then hunt other players.
In other cases, their behavior is not funny. Like recently, when they spawned members of the Ku Klux Klan in the online world and harassed other players.
How could this happen? The KKK is actually not part of the online world of Red Dead Redemption 2. These characters should only be found in the campaign. The Klan consists of foolish people who accidentally set themselves on fire after a while because they stand too close to the fire with their white sheets. If you want honor in singleplayer, you kill the KKK members.
Cheaters then exploited these characters with mod menus and spawned them in the online world using cheats. A player in the Red Dead Online subreddit reports that such racist content has increased recently. (via reddit)
What this looks like in the game is shown by Twitter user Fanfusuzi. “Someone thinks it’s funny to spawn the KKK in Red Dead Online,” he writes on June 4. Due to the current situation in the USA, he wishes that Rockstar Games would do something about it.
The Red Dead Online Community account RedDeadRDC also shared screenshots of the problems with the KKK members.

What has Rockstar done about the KKK spawns?
Here’s what happened next: On June 16, Twitter user Tez2, who closely follows updates for RDO and GTA Online, stated that there was a new PC update. “Cheaters can no longer spawn KKK peds and attack other players.”
How did Rockstar do this? Tez2 explains, “It [the game] checks whether you are online. It detects an event that spawns peds. If this ped model matches one of the KKK models, it is immediately deleted.”
This is what Rockstar Games has to say about it: In a statement to Washington Post, Rockstar addressed the incident.
We are aware of some individuals who have used cheat tools to create racist character models and messages in Red Dead Online.
We take these actions very seriously, and in accordance with our guidelines, any form of racist and abusive behavior in the game is not tolerated, and all players who violate these guidelines will be banned.
On June 4, Rockstar Games took the servers of GTA Online and Red Dead Online offline for a few hours. This measure was related to the Black Lives Matter movement. During the time that the servers were unreachable, a memorial service for George Floyd took place.
This stunt creates better vibes in Red Dead Redemption 2. An extreme sleigh ride with a cowboy, which was celebrated by hundreds of thousands of people on reddit. You have to see it.
